Police Federation: Home Secretary you are wrong
The chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales has accused the Home Secretary, Theresa May, of not listening to officers and "going down a path... that could have very adverse effects" on the police service.
Paul McKeever, speaking at the Federation's annual conference in Bournemouth, said that the home secretary was "wrong" and that advice on policing should not be taken from think tanks, but by officers on the ground.
