Conservative MPs on UK veto over help for euro currency

Conservative MPs Mark Reckless and Matthew Hancock, who used to work for Chancellor George Osborne, disagree on whether the UK has a veto over helping troubled countries in the eurozone.

Mr Hancock claims former Chancellor Alistair Darling "threw away" the power to veto such a deal before 2013, while Mr Reckless wants a referendum on EU membership.

American economist Irwin Stelzer outlined how much he though the UK would be affected if the economies of some euro members collapsed.
