PM to set out five pledges for NHS future

The prime minister will set out a personal guarantee to spend more money on the health service.

David Cameron is planning to make five pledges on the future of the NHS in response to widespread criticism of the government's plans for reforming the way it works in England.

But he will insist that the NHS must change now to avoid a crisis in the future.
