Circus defends use of animals in Big Top shows

A cross-party group of MPs is attempting to ban the use of wild animals in circuses in England, but the government prefers a licensing regime.

Circuses that still use lions, tigers and elephants in their acts defend the practice as Adam Fleming discovered when he spoke to Martin Lacey from the Great British Circus.
