Armed forces stretched by military deployments
As Defence Secretary Liam Fox announces the biggest shake up of the armed forces for a generation, some in the military complain ministers are already stretching resources beyond their limits.
Mr Fox has said he wanted to put an end to in-fighting between the army, navy and air force and bring costs under control as he slims down the military's command structure and cuts the number of senior officers.
David Thompson spoke to a former soldier and his wife, and the Army Families Federation, on what it was like for the servicemen.
