News of the World political editor David Wooding on closure
The News of the World's political editor claimed a much-rumoured Sunday Sun paper would not easily grab the readers from his paper, as half of them did not buy its weekday News International sister paper.
David Wooding described the last few days in the office and praised the paper which had "caged 250 criminals", while he and other staff knew nothing of the phone hacking scandal which saw it shut down after 168 years.
