Shapps: Housing has become unaffordable for too many

Home ownership in England is set to fall to its lowest level since the mid-1980s.

The National Housing Federation, which represents housing associations, is warning that a shortage of new homes, higher prices and tighter mortgage lending will leave an entire generation "locked out" of the housing market.

The Housing Minister Grant Shapps has responded to these claims.
