Riots and Hillsborough tragedy are most popular e-petitions

The public can get MPs to discuss an item if they can collect 100,000 electronic names on a petition on a Downing Street website.

Two subjects have so far hit the trigger to see if members of the Backbench Business Committee should look into the call.
