Boundary changes: House of Commons to lose 50 MPs

MPs are learning what is happening to their current seats as the Boundary Commission reveals plans for larger constituencies and 50 fewer MPs in the House of Commons.

David Thompson looks at the scraps ahead as MPs could end up fighting for their political lives. He spoke to Steve Pound MP and Lewis Baston from Democratic Audit.

MPs were being briefed on the changes affecting England on Monday, ahead of their full publication on Tuesday. Proposals for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales will be revealed later.
