Planning guidance: government siding with developers says CPRE

Shaun Spiers from the Campaign to Protect Rural England said proposed planning reforms in England had "deeply alarmed" environmentalists and left developers rubbing their hands with glee.

The coalition government binned Labour's "regional spatial strategies", which had set house building targets, and has announced a new National Planning Policy Framework, which simplifies planning guidance.
