Liberal Democrat conference: Vince Cable's full speech
Business Secretary Vince Cable vowed to tackle "the escalation of executive pay" as he addressed the Liberal Democrat party conference in Birmingham.
During his 20-minute speech, he also defended the coalition, and said that "working in partnership is progress not treachery" as he set out three priorities for the future: stability, stimulus and solidarity.
