Labour conference: Ed Miliband and the unions

Votes from the unions were decisive in electing Ed Miliband as Labour leader a year ago but he has since spoken of changing the party's relationship with their biggest financial backers.

Delegates in Liverpool will be asked to approve measures which could weaken the unions' influence in future leadership elections.
