SNP conference: John Swinney on devolution date

Scotland's Finance Secretary was asked if the planned devolution vote would be held on the anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.

But John Swinney would only say it would be in the "latter stages" of the current Parliament as set out in the manifesto.

He was speaking from the SNP conference in Inverness as he explained how the party aimed to improve employment and health in Scotland and was asked about the "devolution-lite" plans that would see Scotland keep sterling, the BBC and a joint defence with the UK.
