Alun Michael on hunting with hounds ban fight

Labour MP Alun Michael recalled the struggle to get the ban on hunting with hounds through Parliament which led to a violent demonstration on the streets of London.

The former minister told Adam Fleming how Tony Blair gave him the job of overseeing the Act, brought in six years ago.

Simon Hart, the former Countryside Alliance chief executive and now Conservative MP, was then interviewed on the Daily Politics.

This is part of a series of interviews, entitled Change Makers, in which the Daily Politics talks to people who have radically changed Britain.
