Phone hacking: Leveson inquiry into press ethics starts

A judge has opened an inquiry into media practices, set up after the News of the World phone hacking-scandal.

Appeal court judge Lord Justice Leveson is examining the "culture, practices and ethics of the press" and looking at whether media self-regulation works.

Alleged phone-hacking victims will give evidence to the inquiry, being held at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
