Brodie Clark: 'Theresa May destroyed my reputation'

The former head of the UK border force, Brodie Clark, has told MPs that Home Secretary Theresa May, has been instrumental in destroying his reputation.

Mr Clark was suspended after claims he relaxed passport checks at UK borders beyond what Theresa May had agreed to in a trial.

Speaking in front of the Home Affairs Committee, Mr Clark said: "Over 40 years I have built up a reputation and over two days that reputation has been destroyed.

"I believe that has been largely due to the contributions made by the home secretary," he added.
