UK severs ties with Iranian banks 'to improve security'

The UK government has imposed new financial restrictions against Iran which will cut off all financial ties with Iranian banks.

Chancellor George Osborne said: "We are doing this to improve the security of not just of the whole world, but the national security of the United Kingdom."
