Buckingham: UK's only independent university, could we see more?

Buckingham is the UK's only officially independent university, which sets its own fees, and there are calls for more like it.

The rise in the university tuition fee cap across England has led to huge protests, and yet some top universities want it to be even higher.

They argue they need the money to compete internationally, and this has led to some commentators wondering whether more universities should go private.

Giles Dilnot spoke to Sheila Lawlor from the Politeia think tank, and University of Buckingham Vice Chancellor Terence Kealey on how it operates differently.

It was followed by a debate between AC Grayling and Tessa Blackstone.
