Cooper on crime figures: 'No time for police cuts'
Police statistics show the number of knife-point robberies has jumped in the last year, by 10%.
The figures show that, overall, there has been a drop in crime.
At the same time, the British Crime Survey, which measures people's experiences of crime, suggests that it is going up.
The shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper said this was no time to make cuts to police numbers.
