Nick Clegg: Raise income tax threshold sooner than planned

The Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, will say today that he wants the government to cut income tax for low and middle earners faster than planned.

The coalition has already agreed to make the first £10,000 of earning tax free by the end of this parliament.

It could be paid for by increasing taxes on high earners, as Vicki Young reports.
