Leveson: Ex-NOTW showbiz editor gives evidence

Former showbiz editor at the News of the World, Dan Wootton, has insisted stories about celebrities are "in the public interest".

Speaking at the Leveson Inquiry into press standards, he criticised the actor Hugh Grant for failing to respond to press inquiries over the birth of his daughter, and described him as "pretty miserable".

Mr Wootton insisted the "majority" of celebrities were "happy" with the attention.
