Benefits rethink 'is good news' says campaign group
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has confirmed the Government will re-examine plans to remove child benefit from all higher-rate taxpayers.
At the moment ministers plan to remove child benefit from households where one partner earns more than £42,500 per year.
Alison Garnham, from the Child Poverty Action group, says a rethink on benefits is good news but it does not make sense just to take benefits off families with children.
