Hosepipe ban: 'Save now for less restrictions later'

Water companies across southern and eastern England are to introduce hosepipe bans amid drought conditions.

Millions of people will be affected. One of the companies, Thames Water, will introduce its ban early in April.

Environment Secretary Caroline Spelman says the more that can be saved now, the less restrictive measures have to be going forward.
