David Willetts on UK GDP figures and British recession

Minister David Willetts said the UK had an "unbalanced economy" and faced a unique set of challenges.

The Conservative MP was responding to the UK returning to recession, with the economy shrinking by 0.2% in the first three months of 2012.

Mr Willetts said: "We have not deliberately taken the economy back into recession."
