Green vows borders will be fully staffed at peak periods
Immigration Minister Damian Green has vowed that all immigration desks at ports and airports in south east England will be fully staffed "during peak period over the summer", including the London Olympics.
His comments came in answer to an urgent question in the House of Commons, put forward by Home Affairs Committee chairman Keith Vaz.
Lengthy immigration queues have been seen at Heathrow in recent days, prompting some to question if the UK Border Agency will be able to provide a smooth and efficient service when the eyes of the world are watching.
