David Cameron: Dennis Skinner should 'take his pension'

David Cameron told the House of Commons that a Labour MP should consider taking his pension after he asked a question about the culture secretary.

Dennis Skinner had claimed Jeremy Hunt was kept in his job, and in the firing line, to prevent "bullets" hitting the prime minister over allegations about Rupert Murdoch and NewsCorp.

Mr Cameron said: "Well, the honourable gentleman has the right, at any time, to take his pension and I advise him to do so."

In January, the prime minister called the veteran Labour MP a dinosaur after a previous question about the the Leveson Inquiry.
