Iain Duncan Smith warning of Hollande 'shock wave'
The Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith has warned of a "shock wave" if France elects socialist presidential candidate Francois Hollande.
He said austerity was necessary to help Europe escape the debt crisis and Hollande's policies of increasing government spending and raising taxes would cause major ructions with Germany, create problems for the European Central Bank and potentially damage European economies and the UK's ability to trade.
