Queen's Speech: Lords reform and parental leave top coalition plans
The Queen has set out the government's plans for the year ahead in a speech to both Houses of Parliament.
Amid the usual pomp and ceremony of the State Opening of Parliament, the Queen said stabilising the economy was the coalition's priority.
But there were also measures on crime, business, flexible parental leave and pensions, as well as controversial proposals to reform the House of Lords.
