Lord Ahmed 'delighted' after Labour lifts suspension

Lord Ahmed has told the BBC he is delighted that his suspension from the Labour party has been lifted.

The peer had always denied a Pakistani newspaper's claim that he had offered a £10m bounty on the head of US President Barack Obama.

He told Chetan Pathak from the BBC Asian Network that he was taking legal action against the Express Tribune because the allegation had adversely affected his business dealings.
