Remembering Macmillan's 'Night of the Long Knives'

Fifty years ago Prime Minister Harold Macmillan fired seven member of his cabinet including his friend, Chancellor Selwyn Lloyd.

The event shocked the nation and became known as the "Night of the Long Knives".

Michael Cockerell who spoke to many of those involved considers what can be learnt from the events of 1962.
