George Osborne pledges boost to UK economy

Chancellor George Osborne has promised to change planning rules to speed up development and deliver a boost to the economy.

He told the BBC that the country had to take decisions now - on building projects - that will decide whether Britain sinks or swims.

But, as the BBC's Chris Mason reports, the coalition government faces some major challenges when Parliament returns on Monday.
