TUC's Brendan Barber on public sector wages
The outgoing TUC general secretary said it was likely there would be more disputes ahead over the "huge squeeze on living standards", with a proposed pay cap of 1% for the next two years.
Brendan Barber, speaking from the Brighton conference, said there had been no growth since the coalition came to power and asked: "How long is this misery going to go on, particularly when it is not delivering what is it supposed to be delivering"?
Jo Coburn also asked him what his legacy would be as he prepared to stand down after 10 years.
