Clegg apology: Vince Cable 'sceptical' on tuition fees pledge
The Business Secretary Vince Cable has admitted that he was "sceptical" about the Liberal Democrats' pledge not to raise tuition fees.
His comments came after Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg released a video apologising for the party's u-turn on the issue.
In the party political broadcast, due to be aired next week, the Lib Dem leader says he is sorry the party "did not stick" to its pre-election promise.
Speaking to the BBC's Newsnight, Mr Cable acknowledged that the party had been damaged and had lost trust over the issue.
