PMQs: Cameron and Miliband on Mitchell 'pleb' comments

The prime minister was teased about alleged comments from his chief whip to police officers working at a Downing Street security gate.

Ed Miliband repeated words from London mayor Boris Johnson about people swearing at police facing arrest, as Andrew Mitchell sat close to David Cameron during PMQs.

The Speaker stepped in a number of times, as the PM and leader of the opposition clashed about the comments - where Mr Mitchell denied using the "pleb" word - and later apologies.

Mr Miliband claimed he got "no straight answers" from Mr Cameron. But the prime minister said the Labour leader kept speaking about the issue as he had "nothing serious to say about the country."
