Clegg: Shared parental leave fits '21st Century'

New mothers will be able to return to work two weeks after giving birth, under new rules introduced by the government.

From 2015, a fully flexible system of parental leave in England, Scotland and Wales will allow women to share their maternity leave with their partner.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, said the new system would reflect the "21st Century", where women are often the main earners for their families.
