Osborne: We are making progress on deficit

Chancellor George Osborne has said the rich will pay more as he tries to bring down the deficit, but insisted that welfare bills must also come down.

Mr Osborne was speaking to the BBC's Andrew Marr ahead of his Autumn Statement on Wednesday.

He acknowledged that dealing with the deficit was taking longer than planned, but said that the government was "making progress".
