Lansley: Boundary vote blow 'the nature of coalition'
Andrew Lansley has described a decision by Liberal Democrat MPs to vote against their Conservative coalition partners over plans to redraw constituency boundaries before 2015 as "the nature of coalition".
The Leader of the House of Commons said the public would struggle to understand why parliament had voted in favour of reducing the number of MPs two years ago, only to prevent the changes from being implemented before the next election.
Mr Lansley also denied that there was any link between Conservative plans for boundary changes and the Lib Dem plans for reform of the House of Lords.
