PMQs: Bedroom tax and housing benefit clash
David Cameron says the thousands of people in privately rented accommodation who "cannot afford extra bedrooms" show why housing benefits must be reformed.
He was responding to Labour MP Alison Seabeck's question about a constituent who cannot afford to offer her son "a home, or a bedroom" when he returns from duty with the British armed forces.
Mr Cameron said the housing benefit budget of £23bn had to be brought under control.
