Lynton Crosby 'didn't intervene' on tobacco packaging decision

David Cameron has again tried to defuse the row over whether the Conservative election strategist Lynton Crosby influenced the government's decision not to go ahead with plain packaging for cigarettes.

David Cameron has been pressed on the issue because Lynton Crosby's consultancy firm has advised the tobacco industry.

Mr Cameron was asked by Andrew Marr whether he had "talked" to Mr Crosby about cigarette packaging.
