Galloway: Parliament 'vindicated on Syria'
Respect MP George Galloway has suggested that the UK and US would already be engaged in a "wholly unnecessary war" in Syria had Parliament not voted to block any UK military role in the conflict.
The US has now postponed a vote on strikes after Damascus admitted for the first time that it had chemical weapons, and agreed to abide by a Russian plan to hand over its arsenal.
In response to Mr Galloway's comments, Prime Minister David Cameron suggested that a strong stance was needed and warned against "crawling up to dictators and telling them how wonderful they are".
