Vince Cable: Enormous amount more to be done on economy
Liberal Democrat Cabinet minister Vince Cable is to warn the government against complacency over the economy in a speech on Wednesday.
It comes two days after Chancellor George Osborne said the UK was "turning a corner" amid signs of recovery.
Speaking to John Humphrys on the Today programme, Mr Cable said: "There is an enormous amount still to be done... Rebalancing is a long-term process."
"Until we get very sustained long-term investment, a commitment to industry, building up exports over a long period of time, we will not have solved the problem."
First broadcast on the Today programme on Wednesday 11 September.
