Vince Cable on 'nasty party' Tories and coalition break
Speaking at a fringe event at the Liberal Democrat conference in Glasgow, senior party member and UK Business Secretary Vince Cable said that the coalition government formed after the 2010 general election could part company before its five-year term is up.
Asked if a separation could occur a few months before polling day, Mr Cable said: "It's certainly possible."
Later that day he joined Kirsty Wark on BBC Newsnight to discuss his comments and how he believes the Liberal Democrats should be highlighting the "positive things" the coalition has done as well as criticising the Tories "when they go over the top".
