Caroline Lucas defends green economy

Green MP Caroline Lucas has accused Chancellor George Osborne of "misunderstanding" the role of environmental policies in the economy.

Speaking on the Andrew Marr Show, the Green Party MP said investing in green technology could create "hundreds of thousands" of new jobs.

She also defended the science behind climate change saying it is "complicated" but added "those scientists who understand this stuff say it is getting very much worse".
