David Cameron calls for longer GP surgery hours
Prime Minister David Cameron has said the government is to set-up nine pilot projects across England in an attempt to encourage more GPs to open their surgeries for longer.
Groups of doctors will be able to bid for money from a £50m fund if they agree to see patients from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
Mr Cameron said the move would be better for patients, and take the pressure off A&E departments.
