Hunt: Learn from Asian culture to tackle loneliness

Jeremy Hunt says he thinks the UK should learn from other cultures when it comes to tackling the issue of chronic loneliness among the old and infirm.

Speaking at the National Children and Adults Services conference, Mr Hunt said he was struck by the "reverence and respect for older people" in Asian culture, where "residential care is a last rather than a first option".
