Theresa May: Missing terror suspect 'not direct threat'
Home Secretary Theresa May has told MPs that missing terror suspect Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed ''does not pose a direct threat to the public in the UK''.
Somali-born Mr Mohamed, 27, who was electronically tagged, escaped surveillance by leaving a mosque in London dressed in a burka.
Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper has described the situation as "extremely serious".
Speaking in the House of Commons, Theresa May defended the manner in which Mr Mohamed was tagged.
