China and UK 'very important partners' in trade

Prime Minister David Cameron is visiting China in order to promote British trade with the country.

Liam Casey, the chief executive of PCH international, a technology company that he runs from Shenzhen, told the Today programme that "government visits are very useful… but at the end of the day it's down to the companies themselves… and being here on the ground is what really works."

Wenjian Fang, chief executive of the Bank of China (UK), predicted that China's service sector "is going to be opened more and more to outsiders".

"China has always viewed the UK as a very important partner," he continued.
