UKIP bans candidate over tweets

A member of the UK Independence Party who features in their latest election advert has been suspended from the party for reportedly making racist and anti-Islamic comments.

The action was taken against Andre Lampitt after UKIP was alerted to comments published on the social media site Twitter.
