'Painful' reforms of NHS 'necessary' says Hunt
Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has said "painful and difficult reforms" of the NHS are necessary because of increasing demand on the service and an aging population.
Mr Hunt told Andrew Marr there are "fantastic things" about the NHS but it also had "profound problems" and it was his job to tackle those problems.
He said the NHS budget was "very, very tight" but the government would be able to slightly increase NHS spending because of difficult decisions made on the economy.
