Sir Menzies Campbell on Cyril Smith sex abuse claims

A former Liberal Democrat leader said he knew nothing about the claims of alleged sexual abuse from the 1970s at a school linked to the late MP Cyril Smith.

Sir Menzies Campbell said he had no prior knowledge of the "allegations and suspicions that have emerged in recent times" and the "only rational way to proceed" was to allow police to continue with their inquiries.

He spoke to Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics about claims about the Lib Dem MP who died is 2010, and said they should be "fully exposed".
